Alabama Tornados

On April 27th, 2011 a storm system raced across the southern US spawning an estimated 312 tornados and killing hundreds of people. In Alabama alone over 200 people were killed by tornados with at least one being rated a category EF4. Tornado damaged was severe throughout the state, downing power lines, uprooting trees, destroying houses and businesses and devastating the infrastructure of many communities leaving citizens homeless and without power and water.
