First Water is committed to bringing the world the best portable water purification capability possible. Whether it is dealing with natural disasters that leave even the most prosperous without access to clean water, or helping developing areas have reliable clean water for daily life, First Water is resolved to develop the systems that transform communities and save lives. In the course of pursuing that mission, First Water has developed systems featuring full and semi-portability, true integrated solar power, larger capacities, optional chlorination, etc.

Water Purification System Manufacturing Facility

The scope of the issue is enormous, but not insurmountable. In developed countries, clean water is rarely available after natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes and tornados. Millions of people throughout the world in developing countries do not have access to water that is safe enough to drink or use for clinical operations. Instead of access to clean water, people risk consuming water that likely contains bacteria, viruses, E-coli, malaria, dysentery, giardia, cryptosporidium, hepatitis, and other waterborne contaminants that cause significant suffering and potential death

First Water is making a difference. Our patented technology combines superior filtration and purification with the flexibility of integrated low-cost solar power. Tens of thousands of people across the globe, critical infrastructure emergency managers, first responders and the military are living proof of its benefits.

In addition to a wide range of systems, First Water also has a Disaster Strike Team that is trained in the United States Incident Command System and possessing FEMA certifications. The Strike Team is available in the United States to ensure clean water availability after natural disasters. The Team can make emergency deliveries, provide on-site training and emergency repairs. The Team is comprised of persons expert in the First Water line of systems, as well as off-duty and retired First Responders.

We are grateful that you are reviewing our website, and look forward to helping you in your mission.

Testimonials

hospital water disruption event“We have seen first hand the need for emergency water during boil-water bans and low pressure situations. The technology not only provides enough drinking water, but water for ice makers, cooking, and other critical areas. Hurricane Katrina showed us that sometimes the cavalry doesn’t show up till it’s too late. We intend to ensure that we are self-sufficient in any situation. In our recent water emergency this technology kept us going when others had to shut down. For us, it was a no-brainer decision.”

water purification for disasters“The team was deployed in Mississippi after hurricane Katrina for five weeks. We relied on the portable purifier every day during our deployment for clean decontamination water. It was incredibly easy; just plug it in, turn it on and you’ve got clean water! I would strongly recommend the system to any First Responder.”
