The Outpost-4™

The Outpost-4™ water purification system is a semi-portable model that is powered by an integrated solar system and an on-board battery.

The Outpost-4™ water purification system runs exclusively off solar power and produces up to 4 gallons (16 liters) per minute, or about 600 gallons (2,500 liters) per day per battery.  Using multiple batteries extends the usable time and the amount of water produced.  The solar panel is attached to the frame and folds down for easy transporting.

The powder coated aluminum frame has multiple points to ease lifting, and the unit has been sized to fit in the back of a pickup truck, SUV, mini-van, cargo van, or similar vehicle.  The unit also features run-flat wheels that enable it to be moved by one person over virtually any surface.  The on-board pump of the Outpost-4™ pulls water from the available water source and a patented automatic fail-safe shut-off that shuts the system down if the UV bulb loses its intensity or if there is a wiring problem.  First Water is the only water system available with this important safety feature, and there is no guessing on when to change the bulb.  The Outpost-4™ water purification system is a perfect fit when portability and a greater flow of water are desirable.
