Safe Water for Mission Teams

Responder-S™ drawing water from a cistern

At any time of the year there are thousands of people leaving for the mission field in the developing world, representing churches from all denominations.  Studies have concluded confidently that the number two reason for people NOT going s the fear of illness (the number one reason is the cost).  Clean water is a logistical nightmare in many areas, and mission teams are constantly challenged with providing enough water for drinking.  Compounding this is the need for basic sanitation and showering that team members are used to and expect.

The Responder-S™ has been supporting missionaries for years, and meets all the needs of mission teams.  Specifically,

  • The unit is very portable, facilitating easy movement between camps and villages.
  • The unit fits in the overhead compartment of most airplanes and is acceptable as carry-on luggage.
  • The solar power provides a reliable power source.
  • The sprayer attachment on the end of the hose provides a 45 psi shower, comparable to pressures found in most areas of the United States.
  • At 60 gallons per hour, the unit provides ample water for not only the team, but the residents of the community being served as well.
  • It is extremely cost effective, and many teams leave the unit behind with the community when returning home.

Because of the flexibility inherent to the Responder™ water purifier, it is the perfect choice for mission teams to ensure clean water while in-country.  Whether it is for the team itself or local residents, nothing can satisfy the demanding conditions of international travel and in-country usage as the Responder-S™ water purification system from First Water.
