First Water Strike Team Now Available

First Water Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of the First Water Disaster Strike Team (Strike Team) as a service available to local, state and federal governments. The Strike Team is the first of its kind in the United States, supporting first responders and emergency managers operating within and according to the National Incident Management System, Incident Command System (NIMS-ICS) program.

The Strike Team works with your team through the Incident Command structure when disasters occur to ensure timely delivery of the solar-based Responder TM water purification systems to the point of the emergency as soon as possible after, or immediately prior to, an emergency. All members have successfully completed NIMS-ICS 700 and 100 level classes. In addition, all Strike Team Leaders have completed the NIMS-ICS 200 class.

In addition to Responder TM water purifiers, the Strike Team also provides on-site emergency training for general, decontamination and medical uses, as well as any maintenance or on-site repairs. When possible, such as with hurricanes, the team can pre-position itself at the onset of a disaster by staging within a reasonable driving distance from the anticipated point of landfall. Once the area is safe to enter, the Team will be immediately available to assist as required.

Standard local government contracts for the Strike Team are available so that the Team can be available with just a phone call. With an agreement in place in advance of a disaster, and a formal disaster declaration by the federal or state government, deployed Responder TM water purifiers and the time and expenses of the Strike Team are generally reimbursable.
